Evaporation System – Unitech Titanium Falling Film Evaporator Evaporator system rated 45,000 lbs/hour. Unitech titanium falling film evaporator manufactured in 1993 but unused until 2008 then operated for approximately 9 months. Includes Incoloy 825 vapor body; 15,862 square foot heat transfer section with 872 Grade 2 titanium 2" diameter tubes X 36' long; and MVR compressor driven by a 500 HP motor. Design train capacity is 92 gpm, distillate flow 83.95 gpm. This converts to 44,457 lbs/hour water evaporation. Includes manual valves and selected 304 stainless steel and 316 stainless steel piping manifolds, and structural foundation for evap vessel and deaerator. Ladders, grating, and access steel also available for an additional cost. MVR Compressor: MVR vapor compressor by A C Compressor Corporation. 22543 acfm centrifugal air compressor. Single stage with buffered labyrinth type shaft seal. Features a cast iron housing with a stainless steel impeller and shaft. Inlet temperature 223 degrees F. Inlet pressure 15.6 MMH20, discharge pressure 19.52 MMH20. Rated speed 628 RPM. Maximum continuous speed 6289 rpm. Maximum allowable discharge temperature 400 degrees F. Maximum allowable discharge pressure 15.7 psig. Driven by a Siemens, Type CG II 500 HP, 1775 RPM, 4000 volt motor. Motor rated for 60 amps @ 60 Hz. Compressor is coupled to motor through a Westech high speed gear unit with oil cooler, model # 10705. Drive couplings are by Rexnord and system features oil control and vibration analysis with a Bently Nevada 3300 system. Built 1993 – UNUSED.
