Used plant for mechanical separation of crushed and dried lithium-ion battery material. Plant was built in 2018 and can process >500 kg/hour. Process description: 1 - Plant fed material from 1m3 bunker via screw conveyor; 2 - First air classifier separation of heavy parts; 3 - Seive separation of black-mass from the product stream; 4 - Second air classifier separation of metal foils and separator foils; 5 - Filling into Big Bags via cyclones and rotary valves or scraper conveyors. Major equipment includes: Tumbler screen Minox MTS2000, (2) air classifiers WIPA zick-zack-sifter WS, (2) Jacob cyclones, Gram ACF filter cyclone, (6) Coperion and Winkel rotary valves, bunker station with screw conveyor (2) KSS-Verfahrenstechnik scraper conveyors, Elektror conveying fan Mekom MiniBrik-30 briquetting press, electrical cabinet, steel construction. Output products: 1 - Heavy battery parts; a mixture of steel, aluminium, copper and plastic parts; 2 - Black-mass; a black powder containing high value materials such as lithium, cobalt, nickel and manganese; 3 - Metal foils (copper and aluminium), the former electrodes of a battery. 4 - PE/PP separator foils.Location : Europe
